Cody’s proposal to Aubrey took place in Mexico. “He left a note while I was in the shower for me to meet him on the beach. I met him there once I was dressed and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Then we ran to the pool because even at 930am it was so hot and humid, and we were already sweaty!” Fast forward two years to their beautiful wedding day in December at the lovely Brigalias. While Aubrey and her ladies got ready elsewhere, Cody and his gents readied themselves at the venue. After they were finished with their getting ready and portraits, they closed themselves into a locked room while Aubrey and her ladies were ushered into the reception area. We took beautiful photos of the bride and her ladies and then got her over to the adorable chapel where she was escorted down the isle by her father. After a touching ceremony, where her mother and maid of honor had orchestrated a beautiful love ballad sung by her bridesmaids and grandmom, the happy couple made their vows and shared their first kiss. Even though it grew dark outside, we took some couple portraits in the chapel as well as the reception area and then the party began. My wonderful assistant, Reilly, helped photograph the entrances, dances and best man speech and after the cake was cut, we headed home. Congratulations Cody & Aubrey! A word from the Bride
The day really all flew. There really were no surprises, but Cody and I chose not to do a first look, so seeing him at the end of the aisle for the first time that day was an amazing feeing.
Advice from the Bride
Don’t stress out to much about the little details, because you will most likely be the only one that truly cares, and you probably won’t even think about it or notice that day.
