On back to back days in December I had newborn sessions. But funny enough, they were “second child” newborn sessions and each involved big siblings around the age of two. Adaline and William were first and the following day, I photographed little Liam and his big brother, Jack. Jack, unlike most children at that age was an absolute ham and loved having his photo taken. He smiled when we asked him to, he showed me some of his favorite toys, and after only one bribe, he gladly took a photo while holding his little bro. The bribe ended up being a cookie, so I asked his dad to place the cookie on the dining room table where he could reach it. I then photographed him reaching for it with the window backlighting him. It is one of my favorite photos that I’ve ever taken. Little Liam was sleeping all the while, waking up only to chow down and then fell back into a peaceful sleep. I got to incorporate some winter attire and props into my newborn photos and came away with some beautiful memories for Joe and Kaylin, the wonderful parents of these two sweethearts. I hope that I get to work with them again in the future, as this shoot truly showed me how wonderful working with this family was. For more work from this Hatfield Newborn photographer, click here.
