In the suburbs of Philadelphia, there sits the quaint little town of Lahaska. Within this charming place is Peddlers Village, a bustling street something out of a Harry Potter book, with adorable little shops with creative window displays and tons of artistic accents. The town hosts many festivals each season and one of the best times to visit is during the fall, when the streets are lined with scarecrows and the stores are filled with pumpkin and fall aromas. Even though I’ve shot at the village before, I hadn’t photographed during the fall season, so you can imagine my happiness in learning that Kelly and Ray wanted the village as the backdrop of their engagement shoot. We were hoping for a beautiful sunny evening but unfortunately, we were greeted with chilly, misty weather. It didn’t matter though! We walked around the town taking photos by the gazebo and the windmill and then using gorgeously lit shop windows as a backlit backdrop for a bunch of poses. We had a few gawkers, but luckily for me, the couple broke out of their shyness and rocked their session. My personal favorite part of the shoot was when we found a pumpkin rendition of C3PO and R2D2 and the couple switched shirts and posed next to them. Like me, they are big Disney fans, so I appreciated the reference. I cannot wait to work with these two love birds again soon! For more work from this Lahaska Engagement Photographer, click here!
