The best part about being a photographer is working with babies. While I love photographing weddings and couples, there is something so special about capturing new life at its beginning. Newborns are on no schedule expect their own, and as the photographer and the parents of the baby, your job is to go with the flow. There is no specific science to photographing newborns but there are consistencies that make shooting a newborn easier. Firstly, working early in the morning is better than working in the evening. For one, you have more light to work with, and being a Philadelphia lifestyle newborn photographer, I prefer staying away from strobes and flashes as much as I can. Secondly, babies tend to be more sleepy in the morning and usually can stay in good spirits during the shoot. (Because they are dreaming!) Last January, I photographed Declan’s newborn session. This past August, his little sister, Fiona joined the busy family of 8. I loved getting to work with Christina and Mike and their darling children Braydon, Evan, Quinn, Declan, and of course Fiona. Fiona’s nursery is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen! Congrats to the family! For more work with this Lansdale Newborn Photographer, click here.
