Anyone who follows my social media channels or visit my website would be under the impression that I am a very light and airy photographer…and that is certainly true…though I also have a dark side. I went to college for photography and came away from Arcadia University with a BFA. While in college, I was a dark and depressive shooter…editing with contrast and developing my own black and white film in the dark room. Most of my clients wouldn’t even recognize me in my college photos and its because I shot dark and gloomy so long, I chose to go the complete opposite upon graduation…hence the reason I am all light and airy. But the nice thing about being an artist is that I have the ability to specialize in multiple styles…sometimes the light and airy vibe simply doesn’t go with the theme or feeling of the shoot…so I’ve started giving my clients options. They can choose the light and airy edit or the dark and moody (editorial) edit. This specific couple, Matt and Danielle, are the first of my couples to choose this more editorial approach and I couldn’t be more in love with how these stunning images turned out! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next September. Special shout out to From Peonies to Paintchips who supplied the furniture and props for this stunning session.
