On my 25th birthday, my family welcomed the second grandchild, Brady Jack. Not only is this little man my birthday buddy, but he also is my godson. He is perfect in every way. His big brother, Garrett loves to hug him, kiss his head, and watch over him when he sleeps. I wonder how I ever thought it would be impossible to love both my nephews equally, because it is certainly not the case. They are everything to me, and I am so excited to watch them grow. Unaware if Brady was to be a boy or a girl, I had already promised myself that I would need to take a photo of the baby with the lily of the valley flower that grows around our house during my birthday. It is May’s flower and is only in bloom for a few weeks. It reminds me of tiny bells and has the most pleasant smell in the world. It was only appropriate that I incorporated the flower into one shot of my nephew. After some adorable solo shots of Brady in all of his glory, I began a few staged shots of both boys, launching a new “series” called the Adventures of Garrett and Brady. I’m sure that they will be joined by more adventurers in the future, and I cannot wait to come up with themes and photo ideas.
