In December, I photographed big sister Adaline and new baby brother, William, at two different locations…something I have never done for a family session before. Because the children’s home was being remodeled, but their mama really wanted to incorporate their front door into the “baby William present photo,” we began our session there and then ended it at their current temp residence. Luckily for me, the residence was brightly lit with pastel wallpaper, a Christmas tree, and big windows. Even though little Adaline was a little weary of me at first, as soon as I learned her love of Elmo, it didn’t take long for her to warm up to me, allowing truly beautiful smiles to be unleashed and an adorable sibling shot involving a kiss to her little brother. Little William was content to sleep while we photographed him and the “newborn” part of the session went off without a hitch. After multiple outfits changes and a few different poses with both kids, we called it a day and came home with some incredible images. I am so proud of these “lifestyle/portrait” blend of photos and I hope to continue shooting similarly in the future. For more work from this Newtown Newborn Photographer, click here.
