When looking through Sheileen’s newborn photos, you will find the theme of hot air balloons. In addition to the typical newborn photos that I usually take at sessions, I incorporated a hot air balloon (made of multiple balloons found on Etsy) as well as a beautiful gold necklace which had belonged to Sheileen’s grandmom, who she was named after. You might remember the necklace from her mother’s maternity session that went along with the theme of “Up Up and Away,” an adorable idea that inspired both the nursery and the shower. Little Shei was awake and alert for the first hour and a half of her shoot, but after some coaxing and feeding, she was out like a light. We were able to swaddle, change her, shove her into baskets and lay her on her belly for the next few hours and came away with some beautiful images. I was most excited to see how my new baby pram would look in an indoor setting and I also got to use some new wraps that Julia purchased and then gave to me to use for future shoots. I absolutely loved getting to work with my future brother and sister-in-law and was honored to be the first to document little Sheileen. Welcome to the world little one! We love you already.
