Valley Forge Casino Wedding Photographer – Ray & Kelly

In October, my assistants Jackie and Reilly joined me at the Valley Forge Casino for the wedding of Kelly and Ray! After getting ready at the hotel in the casino, the bridal party made their way to the beautiful Washington Memorial Chapel located at the center of the Valley Forge National Park. After a beautiful ceremony, we made our way to the lovely stone courtyard outside the chapel for their family and bridal party photos. After a few quick snaps across the street in a field, we headed back to the casino for the party! It was a wonderful wedding and we were so fortunate to be a part of it! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Swopez! For more work from this Valley Forge Casino Wedding Photographer, click here!

How they met…

We have been together for 5 years this month. We met through friends. Kelly attended the bridal shower and birthday celebration of a friend. Ray was the groom’s best man and best friend and attended the birthday festivities that night. This couple who introduced us was in our wedding.

How he asked…

Ray proposed to Kelly in front of Cinderella’s castle in Disney World. We went to Disney with Kelly’s parents and sister Jackie in December 2015. Ray carried the ring around in his pocket all day long in Magic Kingdom, constantly checking his pocket after each ride. Later that night, when the castle was completely lit up with Christmas lights, Ray lead Kelly to the front of the castle, handed her tissues and then dropped to one knee. A crowd had already started gathering for the upcoming parade so we had quite an audience!

Special Moments…

The last three songs were pretty epic. We had a giant sing along to Billy Joel’s Piano Man. All of our guests formed a circle with the bride and groom in the middle. Then we went into Shout – wedding party song. And we ended the night with (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.

Advice for future couples…

Provide schedules to your bridal party so they know where they have to be when.
And then relax and don't get too preoccupied with timing on the day of. Also, a low key
rehearsal dinner at Fox and Hound turned out to be great! Pizza, wings and giant Jenga was all
we needed!
