Last fall, I got to photograph Mike and Laura’s beautiful engagement photos with the beautiful autumn colors. In the beginning of September, I got to work with them again on heir wedding day. Even though the weather was a little on he warmer side, the sun tucked back in the clouds during most of the day and made the photo taking extra easy. My lovely second shooter, Heather, met with the guys at their getting ready house while I photographed the girls at theirs. I snapped away while Laura got laced up in her beautiful satin gown and once she was ready, we made our way to St. Agnes Church in West Chester for the ceremony. Heather was already there, ready to go, when Reilly and I rolled up to the beautiful stone church. The inside of the church was on he darker side, but we were able to get some beautiful photos of Laura as she walked down the isle accompanied by her father. At the other end of the isle, Mike’s eyes were brimming with tears as he watched his beautiful bride glide towards him. The mass proceeded on and halfway through, the priest pronounced them husband and wife and they shared a special first kiss as a married couple. When the mass was over, they grabbed hands and walked down the isle, accompanied by their bridal party, all beaming in their blue ensemble. After a few family portraits at the church, we headed to White Manor Country Club for portraits and the reception. It was only my second time on a golf cart, and somehow, I managed to put the car in park without meaning to. Thinking that the cart was broken, I had the bride and groom push my cart the rest of the way to our portrait location. After a bunch of giggles, and then embarrassment over the fact that it hadn’t died, I managed to snap a few really cute photos of the couple as they pushed us. We then proceeded with an hour and a half of beautiful portraits on the grounds of the country club. We headed back inside for a wonderful cocktail hour and reception and I am so pleased with how the photos came out. Congratulations Mike and Laura on your beautiful wedding day! A word from the Bride
I loved reading my letter from Mike and my gift from him- a tropical themed pendant necklace to wear on the honeymoon and it was from the same jeweler that did my rings.
Advice from the Bride
Relax and don’t stress on the big day. Something will go wrong, but don’t let it stop you from enjoying yourself!
