a word from the bride…

Our wedding was absolutely flawless, a beautiful dream come true. There wasn’t one moment that I wished went differently and I wouldn’t change anything if I had to do it again.

how they met…

We met online, through a dating website (Plenty of Fish). Our wedding day was our 3 year anniversary (of our first date) as well.

the proposal…

The proposal was extremely well thought out. Fran planned for months and spent HOURS finding the perfect ring. I believe he told me the one day he spent multiple hours in the jewelers checking out different lighting as it hit the diamond. The day we got engaged I went to get my nails done because I thought it was for a test run of nails for my best friend’s wedding. We went out to dinner on a triple date to the Steven Starr restaurant Dandelion in Philadelphia. After dinner we went for a walk in Rittenhouse Square Park, the park we went to the night we first said “I love you” to each other. During our walk we saw rose petals and candles in the shape of a heart, Fran walked me into the center of the heart and began his proposal. I was so focused on him that I didn’t notice he had a friend of his singing love songs in the background and all of our friends and family came out from their hiding places so when I looked up they were surrounding us and cheering. He also had a friend photograph the proposal too.

some of the decor…

Fall was the theme: pumpkins, sunflowers, wheat, leaves. Calla lilies, sunflowers, and daisies.

advice from the bride…

Everyone told me “something will go wrong so just go with the flow”, that didn’t really happen to me. The thing that I think would be the most impactful for future couples would be to greet all your guests while they are waiting to be served so you can enjoy your night dancing. Also, take a moment to step back and watch your guests having fun. They are there for you and your love, so watch them enjoy that. Fran’s recommendation would be “ don’t forget you have someone to get your food and drinks for you, don’t wait in the lines, it’s your day!” since we forgot about the bridal suite and the fact that they were bringing thing to us! Whoops!

highlights of the day…

My most favorite part of the entire day was seeing Fran’s face when he turned around as I was walking down the aisle. Literally thinking of his reaction and visualizing his face brings me to tears. Other parts of the day that stand out to me would be when he had a friend bring me letters to open the night before, the morning of, before I got into the church, he also had all of his groomsmen make a video for me to watch as I was getting ready. They spoke about how happy I make Fran, how much he’s changed for the better because of me, welcoming me into the family, etc. Our first dance was also something that was beyond memorable to both of us. We created it ourselves which made it that much more special, the memories of creating it and then executing it while surprising everyone there was amazing
